no not worth it. Why because you most likely will not even use that service and here you are paying for something you will most likely never use. Plus $16.50 per tire is a lot of money. That comes to $66 before taxes. They are trying to make close to an extra easy $70 per customer. What a scam. They will not replace you tire should you have a problem unless it is a defect in the tire which they will never admit and say it is something else. Plus you can get your tire repair and any shop for under $15 out the door. If I were you I wouldn't get it. It's better to just keep a spare ready and have AAA membership.

The key to having these warranties work for you is that you have to maintain the tires and keep your documentation. That means having them rotated at the proper intervals.
If you don't keep the paperwork, they'll deny the claim.
These warranties pay off if you get flat tires and the puncture is close to the sidewall. They can't repair those and normally you'd have to buy a new tire. They're also good if you get a slipped belt or tire wobble. They'll replace the tire for free (again, with proof of rotation).
I'm a mechanic and I usually buy them. But, I know when a tire has a problem and I usually get them replaced under the warranty.
If you're not really aware of what a bad tires feels like, you may not get a return on your investment.

On expensive tires YES. On cheap tires probably not...because cheap tires usually have warranties anyway. Still...that's only for manufacturer defects and not for things like nails, slashes, etc.
I have to use Z rated tires on my car and each tire costs about 140 to install (if I cheap it) and generally V and above tires have NO warranty. So in that case the cost for road hazard insurance is actually worth it. I believe it's only for 3 years but if you live in a city, you'll go through at least 2 tire punctures in that time.
