How fast can a turtle flip back over if it gets flipped onto its back?
I was looking at something about turtles and I heard .2 seconds but in addition to sounding way too fast, I don't know how reliable the source is.

The good ones can do it in a few seconds. Those with flatter shells, such as semi-aquatic turtles, are better at it. Tortoises have dome shaped shells, which means their heads are farther from the ground, have a more difficult time righting themselves.

Some species of turtles are better at it than others. It depends on the length and strength of the neck, and the shape and weight of the body. Some of them will usually succeed the first time, one quick flip. Others will have to try many times before they finally succeed.

Snapping turtles can do it before you get your hand away. Box turtles and other high-domed tortoise mat die from overheating before they can flip.
