okay, a girl says she is 18 but really is much younger gets pregnant by someone 16yrs old.?
What can happen legally in California? This young lady has created profiles online stating that she is 18yrs old and is possibly telling the young men she meets in person that she is also. In one particular case for a fact she has done that. Is there any legal recourse that can be taken against her? Apparently her parents are unaware that she is telling people that and other things or they just choose to ignore her.
Please give me your opinions/suggestions.

AOC >Age of Consent > in CA is 18 for both m & f. (But only 12 in Mexico for the female.) So under the Ca Penal Code, anyone engaging in sexual relations would be in violation of the law.
In the case where a party is misrepresenting herself in chronological years, & has used said misrepresentation to defraud another, is a different violation altogether. However, if there is no actual exchange of anything of value, the fraud charge would be difficult to prove.
So it really comes down to the sex between minors issue. In which case, one would have to establish they did due diligence to ascertain the party they engaged in sexual relations, was of legal age. And if they were both under 18, then there would be equal guilt.
