    SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL

    1 lb. ground beef

    1/2 c. chopped green pepper

    1/2 c. chopped celery

2 tbsp. chopped onion, medium size

    8 oz. can tomato sauce

    1/4 c. water

    8 oz. sharp cheddar cheese

4 or 5 oz. cooked noodles

1 tbsp. salt and dash of pepper

Brown meat in pan, drain fat. Add peppers, celery and onions. Cook for a few minutes. Stir in tomato sauce and water. Add salt and cooked noodles. Stir in grated cheese. Pour into greased 9x11 casserole dish and cook at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. Serves 4 to 6.

  • Meatloaf mashed potatoes and brown buttered noodles.

    Meatloaf:

Ground beef. The amount will depend on how many people and how much you think they will eat. Then add in (to the raw ground beef) 2 eggs, some diced green peppers, diced onions, (onions and peppers to you liking) tomato sauce (about a cup and a half) then add enough bread crumbs through out mixing it so that it looks just like ground beef with onions and peppers. add a teaspoon of salt and some ground pepper.

    Mashed potatoes:

Peel potatoes according to how many people and how much they will eat. Then cook them in water until soft. then drain the water and put them in a mixer. add about a table spoon of butter and use milk to make them thicker or thinner.

    Brown buttered noodles:

Again amout will depend on people. Make noodles by boiling water and then adding noodles. You can tell when noodles are done by throwing them against you cab net (literally) when they stick to it, that means that they are done.Drain the water from the noodles. Then in a separate pan turn the burner on high and add a lot of butter. Make sure you keep stirring it cause it will start to foam and cook over. the butter should start to turn a little brown but make sure its all brown. then dump it over the noodles.
