Has anyone had their eyebrows tattooed? (Permanent Makeup)?

Ok, so I'm thinking about getting my eyebrows "tattooed" (permanent make-up).. My eyebrows really thin out, so I wanted to get them tattooed so you would be able to see them..

The cost is from $75-200... This lady does touch ups for the next two weeks if needed. I also know that once it's done it will be really dark and will slowly fade to the color she mixed it to.... BUT

I want some feed back before I make any final decisions....

Hey girl.. I'm 26 now and I got my eyebrows done when I was 18. I LOVE THEM!!! First things first... never get a color that's too dark. You can always darken them yourself with shadow or liners if you want later on, but don't go with a dark, dark color or you'll look like cleopatra. LOL

The next thing... take a look at this lady's portfolio of previous clients and pictures if she has them. Getting your eyebrows tattooed is a BIG DEAL cause it's on your face. If she F&%^'s them up... you'll be stuck like that for life, so check her work out and make sure she's legit. The other thing I don't like is that she's offering touchups for free for the next two weeks after getting them done. Yeah, that's great... but you can't get touched up in that time frame anyway, cause they'll be healing and scabbed up. It's not proper or smart to tattoo over a tat that's still in the healing process. You'll just mess your skin all up and it might get blown out. (Shape looks blurry... not precise)

I do hair & makeup tutorials on youtube.. check my eyebrows out on my vids:

I shade mine in a little darker because my hair is black now. You always wanna go with a lighter shade of ink... because the reality is, you can shade them darker but if they're too dark.. you can't shade them lighter. You know what I mean.

No one can even tell I have mine done. I let the hair grow out naturally and just got them tattooed to maintain the shape I like. Some people like them thicker, but I prefer them thinner. It's all preference.

I paid $200 for them almost 10 years ago, so I'm surprised (and kind of scared) that her prices are so cheap. But then again... we're in a recession so she may just be trying to bring in some business.

I say go for it!!! But remember to keep the shade light. Anything in black or dark brown gives it that creepy fake look. Go for a light brown or even a medium shade of brown and you should be fine. Good Luck!

yeahh, its just a normal tattoo on your eyebrows. I don't see why they can't draw eyebrows instead of pictures :| Just keep in mind though, when you grow older and get wrinkly your tattoo will be wrinkly too. Trust me, i will look odd.
