Leno makes Obama joke. Is this a water shed?
Last week, Jay Leno told this joke "Researchers have found that the phrase most often used by Obama is "Let me be clear", that's the one he uses most often...The phrase he uses least often?..."Let me be specific" You don't hear him say that very often" It got a solid laugh.
I bring it up because it's the first time I've heard a late night host so directly make fun of Obama. Do you think the joke is funny?, and do you think this could be a water shed moment in that Obama's popularity has fallen enough that it's now OK to make fun of him and laugh at him? I hope it gains momentum.
I sense that Obama doesn't at all like criticism and doesn't like being the butt of jokes either. If it continues I wonder if the administration will attack late night shows like they have Fox News. Maybe CNN can fact check Leno's joke! :-)

I don't see it as a watershed moment. Since Leno has viewers across the political spectrum, the show has to have at least some token jab at Obama to keep Conservatives from being totally disgusted with thinly-veiled bias.
The Leno joke was just tepid, non-confrontational, and very mild ridicule. But Saturday Night Live actually ran a skit that really mocked Obama big time. Watch it below !!!
Maybe that is the real watershed moment; teens... normally the rock-solid supporters of Obama, are laughing at him.

It's good to see someone like Leno have the guts to joke about the president, especially the annointed one Obama.
Joking about the president is almost like an American past time. All presidents have been made fun of in some way.
Obama probably does not find it funny because he's arrogant. He could never take a joke the way Ronald Reagan did, or even GW Bush.

Leno is free to joke on Obama, I will still support The President, if he get our troops out of the middle east, get a public option in the health care bill, He still has a long ways to go, but the mess he inherited was deeper than anyone expected. I will give the President time, but let comics at him, as they have done with all presidents.

I don't think it's a water shed moment. TV comedians have always poked fun at the current administration. Thin-skinned conservatives misinterpreted this to mean those comedians were liberally biased while they were in power. They should remember all the fun made at Bill Clinton's expense while he was president.

No, I don't think it's funny (and, not because I think it's rude...it's just not funny). And, no. It's not a "water shed" moment. You have to understand that people like Leno, Letterman and Jon Stewart had it SO good the last 8 years with jokes about the President writing themselves that now they have to stretch to make jokes about the President.

Leno is admittedly conservative, but says that he's opportunistic than political because that is how he makes a living.
I think that y'all are getting so desperate that you are grasping at straws.

It only took one comedian to start the ball rolling and now you see many of them doing it and it will get worse.............or better, lol.
