The boy "outed" them on live TV. I think it's disgusting doing stuff like that for money when people are facing real problems.
But it wasn't as disgusting as the whole Shannon Matthews incident. How can ANY mother pretend her child as gone missing, waste all that police time, lie to family and friends, just for money. Especially when children go missing so often.

It's not even a hoax it's a sick, disgusting display for attention, publicity and money at the expense of their child's well being. How they even have the audacity to do such a thing when children are genuinely missing all over the world, like Maddy McCann she hasn't seen her parents for years & these effing idiots are pretending their kid is 50 foot in the air in a makeshift spaceship!
It's an absolute disgrace, I'm glad they've been exposed as the liars they are & I hope that kid is okay, he was obviously being cajoled and brainwashed into saying those things. It's obvious in the interviews he was well aware he was lying for his parents. It makes me sick some people don't deserve to be parents!

Well, now the police are saying that they had accomplices. I think that the whole thing is sad. It's sad that a father would be willing to put his kid at risk just to be on TV. The kids could be taken away and the parents are most likely going to be arrested next week. Overall, I think it was a hoax.

despite in case you do no longer settle for worldwide Warming, does it quite count quantity? i think of Al Gore is doofus, yet the two way we'd desire to lessen oil intake considering a million) we are understanding of it and a couple of) we purchase it from fundamentalist muslims who hate us. Or do the Republicans like that we are compelled to do company with arabs? no longer very patriotic of them... sturdy element there are so few Republicans left. i think their traitorous paling around with terrorists is yet one greater reason.

I was one of those people actually concerned about the 6 year old boy in the balloon as I was watching it on the news. Yep, I was fooled.
It was a ridiculous waste of resources and all the hype surrounding the "breaking news" but I have other things to be worried about..

I think the Dad should be charged. The whole nation was worried for that family and the airport was shut down and the military was called in... In my opinion, they should be charged, bigtime.*

I think that the parents didn't set it up. I think that it was all just a big misunderstanding. Where did you see a video of the kid getting in the balloon? I haven't seen that
