Did it disappear immediately? If so, then someone might have clicked the "report abuse" button at the bottom of your question (that's my bet). If not, though, then perhaps a computer glitch caused it to never go through.

If it disappeared after a few days, it's because no one answered it, and it expired.

I, too, have noticed question being deleted. I answered one last night and today, it's gone! Yahoo should keep a list of questions that have been deleted.
