Please help me. Depression help?

I am extremely depressed and I am on drugs to stop my major mood swings.

I can't keep friends and my best friends are both angry with me.

I keep assuming I know what they think about me, even though I don't.

I have tried to kill myself before (obviously unsuccessful).

I can't stop self harming.

I want to die.

I'm 14 and I've been in rehab, I throw up after I eat and I cut myself and drink my own blood.

I see myself as a lost cause.

I want to die, and I can't see anyone loving me.

My boyfriend can't trust me.

My best friend has shunned me.

My parents are disappointed in me.

I don't want help.

I see death as the only way to please everyone.

I don't think I'm meant to be alive.

Can anyone see a light at the end of the tunnel?

I am so sorry to hear of your distress.

Here are some ideas that might help:

Keep two journals. One for writing down all your feelings, this is really good for clearing out your anxieties and getting all your war onto paper, you can delete it straight after if you need to, it's just good to really see your stressful thinking. And the other can be your gratitude journal - write down all the things you are grateful for that happened today.

Try doing Byron Katie's "The Work" - this is fantastic - I can't recommend her highly enough - she has a website with free worksheets or look her up on youtube.

Go to The Option Institute! Here is a link: http://www.option.org/custom:single,595

If you cannot afford their programs, write to them and they can help you out financially.

If you get panic attacks, sign up for the free emails on the panicaway website.

www.foodforthebrain.org is a charity and it has a free questionnaire you can fill out in order to get feedback on what you might be lacking in your diet.

For example, if you are lacking in Vitamin B, You can suffer the following symptoms: Feeling unreal, Hearing your own thoughts, Anxiety and Inner tension, Inability to think straight, Suspicion of people, Good pain tolerance, seeing or hearing things abnormally, having delusions and frequent mood swings. Read Patrick Holford's "Optimum Nutrition for the Mind"

Also, I cut out gluten from my diet and all the 'mental noise' has completely calmed down. This has really really helped.

(There is a theory that some people suffer from leaky gut syndrome, the wheat goes through the gut and straight to the brain, acting as a drug, which can make you feel 'crazy' with thoughts.)

Love and best wishes with everything.

First of all dear, you are NOT a lost cause! I cannot relate to you when it comes to the self harm part, but I have suffered with depression and mood swings over 10 years now, and I too have thought about suicide. I've also had the same feeling of worthlessnes as you describe. Please, please, please believe me when I say that YES, there IS light at the end of the tunnel. You desperately need someone to talk to and tell them what's going on with you, to vent to and get your feelings out in the open. You wouldnt believe how much that helps. I would highly suggest that (even though I know it's hard) you talk to your parent/parents and a therapist about this. As far as you saying nobody loves you, that's NOT true. Your family loves you and so do your 2 best friends even though they dont show it. You are very capable of loving and having another person love you and that WILL happen one day. Trust me! I hope this helps you. Take care.

Source(s): Personal Experience. Whenever I have thought of killing myself, I don't. I wait for the Next day and feel the sun shining, hear the voices of people, see the world around me and I'm so glad I'm still here. Because everyday is so special and Brand New. You can do anything. You can do wonderful things. Many people love you. And God loves you. Don't hurt yourself honey, please. You are very special to the world and you were put on this Earth for a reason. Always remember that. If it makes you feel any better. I love you! I know deep down you are a beautiful person waiting to shine like the star that you are. You just feel hurt and lost. Put away those tears and put on your most beautiful and best smile. Someone out there will want to see it. You're Special. Make a change, you're worth it and you deserve it. XOXOXO

I can only imagine your inner dialog. Choose different. It sounds like you have made all these negative actions your identity. What we do and don't do directly affects how we feel. Start doing, and thinking things that will make you feel good about yourself.

depression needs sometime to heal, it cannot be instant healing, if you are feeling very bad, you van ask for your doctor for talking therapy session as well on top of the medication that he or she gives you, for your reference on other treatments:

Please yourself and not everyone else.

Live as you want to, as long as you are living.

You need a hug more than meds!

    Good luck.
