Depends on the resolution, but at 10 megapixels, around 6-8 thousand

In general you may be better off with a couple of smaller cards rather than one big one!
Regards numbers it's hard to say as it depends on the resolution, quality and format of the pictures you are taking.
As a rough guide, a 12mp DSLR shooting in RAW, 16GB (2x 8GB cards) is enough to capture all the highlights of a good football game in burst mode.

This question is asked every day. It has nothing to do with resolution, but file size, and we can't give you the answer.
If each photo were 1 gigabyte, then the card could hold 16 photos. If they photos are much smaller, it could hold hundreds or thousands.
You'll need to know the file size of each photo. Then do the math, there are 1,000 megabytes in every gigabyte.

first u hav to say which camera and camera model r u using.
2nd u hav to check, hw many MB is ur one pic.
then its easy to calculate.
1GB = 1024 MB
16GB = 1024 * 16
to find out how many pics that u can take by using 16 GB,
1024 * 16 / how many MB is ur one pic.
:)
