6 month old eating and sleep habits?
My darling girl is digging her rice cereal. But since we upped her cereal meals to twice daily, her sleep is more disrupted. Or are the two not connected? She clearly needs a bottle at least once yet during the night. Is this normal? But she'll wake at least once more for a long cuddle. She now cries lustily whereas she used to simply fuss. Your advice on how your 6-month-old slept and ate is much appreciated. Also, she sits quite well on her own...but still topples. Is she Stage 1 or stage 2 foods?! It's all so confusing! And yet fun. Thanks!

Her digestive system may still be adjusting to the work it has to do w/ eating 'food' rather than just milk or formula.
You may try giving her a little more time to digest while she's awake and sitting up before laying her flat for sleep.
I would also think that stage 1 foods are still just fine for now.
It's always fun and challenging to see what and when to change things up, and since they grow SO fast, it could be a matter of 3-5 weeks and then she'll be eating stage 2 w/ no prob and doing her twice daily cereals and all will be just fine

What a fun age. Old school moms will tell they need to eat more before bed. For my son, sleep had nothing to do with when he last ate or how much. He just started sleeping through the night at six weeks and has done well ever since.
I would give her a bottle if she wakes during the night. If she's waking more frequently and you've noticed a change in her cry, I would also check to see if she's teething, or has an ear infection.
It all goes so fast. Enjoy your little one.
