I like it, but as the other said you should try some shading :)

Also, you might want to study some human anatomy, such as the anatomy of the face. Even though you are doing an anime/cartoon type style, you still have to pay attention to proportions. Look at pre-existing images of an anime face (on google images or something), or an actual human face, and then work from there.

Nice job though, keep it up! Good luck!

EDIT: To Aleksandra A., why do you need to be a jerk about it? There's a difference between being honest, and being outright and painfully blunt. You don't need to tell someone that they draw like a 14 year old, when quite frankly, they don't. I've seen tons of people that are 14, even OLDER that can't even come close to doing things like this user. She just happened to have started later than others. Even then, age is no indication of talent. And, she just may not have had the kind of guidance that others might have. With time, she can become just as great, if not better, than many other artists. What are you trying to do, discourage others? You don't do that in art. I don't care what kind of an artist you are, or think you may be, but you NEVER discourage others.

    **end rant**

Sorry about that ;P But anyways, back to the question, to add to my thoughts. The way that I started learning how to draw people, and their proportions, was to study pictures in magazines. Look at pictures in magazines, maybe clip a few out, take a few with you on the go in your sketchbook or something. Start out (although it might not seem to help), with the little block/stick/circle type figures really lightly. Map out the angles of the hips/shoulders, the proportions (what helps is to maybe tape the mag clipping into your sketchbook, and then make lines right next to it, where all of the "major" features are, such as the top/bottom of the head and the body, the hips, the shoulders, etc.) Then try to "connect the dots" in a sense to make a full figure.

After you get the basic human figure/face down a bit better, then try these kinds of things again, I promise it'll be better! Either that, or when you are trying to draw these things, find some reference photos to see how these things will look when you put them on paper.

Once again, good luck! :D (and again, I'm sorry about that rant)

Drawing is something you just do. It's not what you are born with. It is just a lot of practice. You do anything that you want to. You must be able to project imagery in your head and when you plot the line be careful put the line where it looks best. If your having trouble with a certain line practice the stroke on a different piece of paper before you put it on paper or draw the line super slow and reshape it . You can start with pencil and get a general idea of how you'd like your piece. Then you can ink it to give rise to your creation. then you can erase the pencil marks. Really feel free with your style and don't imitate others creations. Art is art.. Your talent might look different than what you are trying to draw. Perfection is in the eye of the creator, be creative.

    *sigh*

It is not just about shading, it is about people's anatomy and body proportions.

Sorry, that I am not that kind like most people here, but you really need lots of practice, because if I judge by your profile on Deviantart you're 19 and you are still drawing like 14 years old. I don't mean to offend you, just to show you what you're making wrong. Learn how to draw people! I know it is manga, but manga is still taken from life.

Source(s): alex88bg.deviantart.com I just turned 21 and I know I am not good enough, but I practice and practiced a lot.
