What is a good site to download music for free without getting viruses?

get realplayer (the free version works just fine) and you can download any flash video (ie. a music video on youtube or something similar) and convert it to mp3 for easy transfer to a music device.

I'm very glad you don't want to use illegal programs such as Limewire. And luckily, contrary to what many people think, free music can be legal if you get it from the right places.

There are many sites that will offer free iTunes or Amazon gift cards for completing set offers, including surveys and tons of advertisements.

I use one of these sites, but there are no surveys or offers like that. Instead, it's a search engine type thing, where sponsors pay the site for their results to appear and you in turn can get free stuff. If you are interested in this, I put a video in the source telling more about the site. It is important to note that this is in no way immediate, this can take several weeks, however, it is only a few minutes a day of doing searches, which you probably do anyway. You can eventually redeem for iTunes cards or Amazon cards for Amazon MP3.

I get my mp3 music from mp3obsession.com but it's not free.

Tracks are 5¢ each and albums are about 50¢ each.

The site is legal and virus free too.

i mostly use www.beemp3.com and www.thepiratebay.org. but the pirate bay is a torrent site, so you'll need a torrent program first.
