American food is VERY diverse. Basically, we have every type of food cuisine from across the world. A lot of our dishes have influences from Mexico (like Tex-Mex), Chinese, Italian, etc.

    "Normal" American Dishes could include:

    Meatloaf

    Mashed Potatoes

    Cheesy Macaroni

Steamed Veggies (broccoli, green beans, carrots, etc).

    Hamburgers

    Deli Sandwiches

Again, "American" food has been influenced by so many different cultures/cuisines, that it is sometimes hard to distinguish whether it is originally American, or influenced by another country.

    Here's the stuff I usually eat~

    Breakfast:

Cereal, pancakes, biscuits and gravy with bacon or sausage, grits, scrambled eggs, waffles, muffins, rice porridge, oatmeal, french toast.

    Lunch:

Ramen, burritos, sandwiches (made w/lettuce, tomato and deli-meat, though I'll eat pb&j if I'm in a hurry), soup, salad, banana bread, potato/macaroni salad.

    Dinner:

Vegetarian chili, rotisserie chicken, crock-pot meals, pork chops, canned vegetables (corn, green beans, spinach), beans and rice, salmon patties, spaghetti, mashed potatoes, beef stew, soup, baked potatoes, hamburgers, salad, canned fruit, parfaits, crisp.

I usually just drink water w/everything or milk, but I sometimes have grape juice. I snack on granola bars or altoids. :)

Unless you've been hiding under a rock for the last couple years, I'm sure you've heard of the Paleo Diet. Read here https://tr.im/Mb4wG

I hate to even call it a diet, because it's really just the real way that humans have eaten for almost 1.9 Million years, as opposed to the modern-day processed food diet full of grains, sugars, and processed vegetable oils.

    I'm an America...

For breakfast I ate leftover soba noodles.

    Lunch: an apple

Dinner: some cheetos and another apple.

I need to go shopping. Most of the time Americans eat leftovers.

Because it has a huge range of cultures you would find meals from nearly all over the world.

Meat like steaks, lamb and chicken are popular as well as different types of fish etc.
