    I'm a hair stylist.

First of all, the purple shampoo only fixes hair that is pulling brassy or too yellow. If you look at a color wheel, purple and red are not complimentary of eachother, meaning it will do nothing to the red that your hair is pulling. Purple shampoo will not do anything to red hair, it only works on hair like this.

The only way to get red out of your hair is to use the color opposite of red on the color wheel, which is green. (ash)

Please let me know what color oops is and then I will continue helping you!

Red is one of the hardest colors to pull from the hair especially if it has been applied to blonde hair. Purple shampoo only changes the tone a little and is temporary. There are two alternatives to stripping the color. One is go back to the salon and tell her it came out to warm and you are unsatisfied. Request that she put a cool toner over it to extract the red such as a neutral or violet base. You could also color your hair one level darker and use a cool base neutral would be best. All in all you are unhappy with your results and the salon should fix it free of charge. Tell them you tried to give it a try but it's just not what you asked for and are unsatisfied. Hope this helps and good luck.

I do hair, so go to sallys or where ever there is a beauty supply around you get a toner with an ash color then use a volume 20 to mix with the toner and leave in for 35 min use all over your hair so the color is even. toner is not a color it will tone down your yellow or red though
