As someone who's used the SCRA, I will tell you that there are a good deal of companies who have absolutely no clue about what it is, why it's there, or how it works. There are all kinds of little things here and there pertaining to military members, and most people (including employers) have absolutely no idea about them.
Basically, I think it was an oversight on their part. After all, if they did this intentionally, that'd be pretty stupid of them as a company for all this negative publicity.

Yes, I also observed it when I went to a nearby subway where my friend had organized a fun party last month. I was literally shocked when i saw the manager badly scolding a worker. This whole thing spoiled our fun party and all the efforts made by my friend were wasted as he got superb fun party ideas from http://www.coolest-party-ideas.com/christmas-party... It might be a little difficult to boycott Subway in totality, but i think it is time that we atleast raise our voices when we see witness such cruelty.
