I don't like it. To compound the problem, I live in the northern states & everyone tries to cram a year's worth of events into 4 months of decent weather. I do try to make it a short trip, but the event usually ends up being a birthday party for one of my kid's friends. Tough to pop out on those. Thank God for DVR!!

I hate it, but luckily with technology it isn't as bad as it could be. My preference is to watch it live in HD. Sometimes I have to work weekends, in which case I may get to watch it in the office, but usually have to follow on NASCAR.com. I record the race on the DVR to catch up later. If I am not at home or at work, I check espn or foxsports on my cellphone to see how things are going. You don't see any of the action, but at least you can see where the drivers are currently at.

  • It's a bummer. But it's Simple. These are the top 3 best inventions ever. 1. Sliced bread.(real bread, not Lagano) 2. Roof Flaps. And 3....the DVR aka Tivo.

happens to me all the time, i work 5 jobs. this sunday i'm working a stevie wonder concert. i don't have to be there 'till 6PM so i can watch most of the race, but my dolphins play at 4PM so i'll only be able to watch the first half of that before i have to go to work. actually, what i'll probably do is go to my local sports bar at 4 and watch the 1st half of the phins game and the race at the same time. i won't be able to drink because i have to go straight from there to work, so i'll probably have a burger and a diet coke while i'm watching. that's just normal business for me though, i'm used to it. i rarely get to watch a whole race live, i work all the time. it's cool though, i love what i do, it's one facinating event after another. just this week alone for example, after stevie wonder sunday i'm working robin williams monday night and then president obama tuesday. he's gonna be speaking here at a political rally for the democratic candidate for governer here in va. and then next friday night after a women's college basketball game i'm working, ben baily is gonna do his stand up act. do you know who he is? he's the guy from the cash cab on discovery channel, i LOVE that show, so hopefully i'll get to meet him and shake his hand.

That happened to me in 2004. I missed the truck race from Milwaulkee to go to a wedding.

    I was upset!

It kills me. Especially when all the "guys" are watching Basketball or something.

It makes me mad at my VCR. I can't trust it as far as I can throw Chicago.
