Why be Prejudice We all come from the same People?

There are two meanings to the word discrimination. One indicates an irrational bias toward something or someone and the other means to use discretion about something or someone.

To discriminate, or to use discretion regarding a person who may be a threat, is just sensible and I would not put it in the same category as the inane discrimination of a "white" Southerner.

I have always shown a bit of discrimination toward my own kind, White Anglo Saxon Protestants and our fellow travelers like other ethnic groups considered to homogenized "white" people, because I think that we're boring. Consequently most of my closest friends have been Latinos or black.

I have, however, come to the conclusion that because of economic reasons, to support blind immigration to this country, particularly of Latinos and East Indians, is not in my best interests, hence I am vehemently against it.

Am I prejudiced? If I were, I wouldn't have once proposed to a Latina girl, to eventual no avail. It bothers me greatly to take this position, but common sense has to prevail and no one can expect me to agree with the suicide of my blood relations for the benefit of my friends.

So I think it would behoove many Americans to separate actual morality from the pop culture cliches that are so easily thrown around today.

It's true we all did come from Africa, we've become so physically and culturally diverse that's it's hard to think of each other from people out of Africa. At the the end of day when we have wars over race and religion, it's all crap because our genes are 99 percent the same.
