invited to a party for the wrong reason?

got invited to a party by the "popular people" because this other "unpopular" guy wanted (he basically buged them to be invited, info: he dosent drive, his 26 and still dosent drive) since i give him rides alot the popular guys percieved us as "best friends" ......so the popular guys assigned me to give him a ride. i dont want to be that way, and im tired of being dubbed the other guy's personal driver. and i dount that the "popular guys" would invite me any way....

i like to have some sense of dignity of my own

so should i go or should i respectfully decline because the invitation was for the wrong reason.

im just abbit curious about the party because i dont know what they do....i would like to get invited but not for the reason above
