    Yup. Common practice in old British cars is to replace the two six volters with a twelve.

    But be aware that you will lose some current carrying capabilities. That means it may not be as strong, or run as long.

    You just have to wire them in series, plus to minus to plus...etc.

    Depends on how the 6V system is hooked up.

    Pos+/ Neg- to pos+/neg- to pos+/neg is series and 3 12V volts will work.

    Pos+ to Pos+ to Pos= AND nEG- TO nEG- TO nEG- IS Parallel and will not work.
