It could have to do with your nutrition or lack thereof. Start taking vitamins. Make sure you eat enough meat every day (vegetarians do not get the correct types of proteins), and drink lots of water. Also, you might want to ask your doctor about it, and ask if there's anything you can do to prevent it.
But don't worry, some people do have periods where they "shed". I did, and now my head doesn't look like a giant bush anymore.

Dear Cherri,
Hair loss can happen to a lot of people. It is really easy to get rid of this. You don't even have to go to the drugstore and ask the pharmacist to give you some god damn prescription for hair loss.Lol. Hair loss mostly occurs due to stress. Have too much homework? Something going on at home? Either way mediation can help in many ways for whatever reason you lose hair.
Here is how to meditate:
1. Sit criss-cross apple sauce to a wall.
2. Chant words that make you happy and think of happy memories.
3. Drink some tea or ask your parents to make you some. If they say no, you can just drink some juice or water.(Basically, any liquid.)
4. Stretch your legs alot and try to reach for your toes.
5. Listen to peaceful music to help you be calm.

That's normal your hair falls out every day because it is growing new hairs more healthy. But do not scrub your hair with you fingernails because that damages your roots just massage it in and when you get to the bottom half of your hair just squeeze in the shampoo you should see it stop because your hair would become more healthy.

Hoper this helps:
Alopecia or hair loss is the medical description of the loss of hair from the head or body, sometimes to the extent of baldness. Unlike the common aesthetic depilation of body hair, alopecia tends to be involuntary and unwelcome, e.g., androgenic alopecia. However, it may also be caused by a psychological compulsion to pull out one's own hair (trichotillomania) or the unforeseen consequences of voluntary hairstyling routines (mechanical "traction alopecia" from excessively tight ponytails or braids, or burns to the scalp from caustic hair relaxer solutions or hot hair irons).
In some cases, alopecia is an indication of an underlying medical concern, such as iron deficiency.[1]
When hair loss occurs in only one section, it is known as alopecia areata. Alopecia universalis is when complete hair loss on the body occurs, similar to how hair loss associated with chemotherapy sometimes affects the entire body.

This happens to everyone, your hair usually sheds and sometimes more than others,
in my case though, I went to get a blood test.
Something did show up for me, but this is not usually the case, but if it is really worrying you, go see your doctor.
