where can i get the best pie in southern california?

Pannikin in Encinitas on the 101 highway. They also have the best quiches. All the pies are amazing and homemade, my top three are the Rhubarb, Peach, and Apple. Call a couple days ahead special order or just walk in and take a pie that they already have. They use their glass pie pans, so you have to put a $20 deposit down when taking the pie home and you get $20 back when you bring back the pan. If you don't want to do that you can bring your own glass pan in when you place your special order and bypass the deposit. Its so worth it though.

Concur with Marie Callenders. I've taken their pies to fancy dinner parties, always for Thanksgiving dinners.

Avila Valley Barn! Go to Avila beach..near pismo/shell beach. Their ollalaberry pie is the best!!!!

I like Polly's pies myself. Coco's plays a trick on you, they add more sugar to improve their taste but sometimes it just masks out the individual fruit flavors in particular. z

I always find tasty pies at Marie Calendars...Co-Cos and store bought pies arent as good
