Liberals cry there is no "magic fix" for the economy Obama "inherited". They ask for our ideas. How about this?

Considering that the gov't budget is around $4.5Trillion and we're deficit spending this year alone to the tune of $1.6Trillion, I'd go for that. One year of no taxes sounds pretty good to me. After all, we pay our taxes and the gov't is still spending this country into the poor house. So why do they even need our money when they're just going to borrow even more?

wish it were that simple. But as much as we tax payers hate the AMOUNT of taxes we pay - it is a necessary evil - the govt. does need to do some cutting - if it is a program that does not RUN this country then reduce or eliminate the funds going to the "pet" projects - repeatedly waste is pointed out - Loop hole after Loop hole has been found but no one will get rid of the hole!

We will not be a United Nation until we ALL start contributing to Running this country - those that contribute ( taken) $$ in the form of taxes are sick of those that Give NOTHING to sustain this country. These people are continually allowed to Drain our bank acct./ our countries bank acct. and they actually see NOTHING wrong with what they are doing - until they are held accountable for taking care of their selves - their families - their homes - Their COUNTRY - this will continue until America collapses

You probably should have said no federal taxes instead of no taxes. The federal government provides far fewer services per dollar than local and state taxes. It does provide an expanding government, fewer personal freedoms and more influence for investment bankers and the FED, but not as much for the "little people".

They inherited a recession. They've turned it into a depression. They have NOT asked for ideas...however, they've received plenty of them.

There is not a single republican...even the queen of RINO's Olympia Snow that hasn't recommended tax cuts for people and business...permanent ones.

Eliminate government departments that don't do anything. There are many.

Good call add to it cut there wages and perks for Politicians , Fine any politician that take $ or Perks.Deport Illegals on first arrest or when caught family's included. That alone with save Billions.Clamp down on Gov fraud.The list could be a lot longer but with this spending group nothing but Blame Bush will and more spending will continual

Stop your benefits and health care and all your bonus while cutting everyone's COLA until unemployment is below 5 percent

Stop kissing butt and apologizing for us because people do not agree with us. THEY STARTED THIS so they should not be whining! (ok..not economy related but worth the a try...they stick stuff in that we don't agree with too)

Redo welfare.....only allow families to be on it for two years to allow them to find a job and /or get an education or vocational training. NO EXCEPTIONS! (take care of children...but give them clothes and give them somewhere to take the kids to eat.. get medical help etc....but NO MONEY)

Stop extending unemployment benefits. If people can get a job let them get it and if you need to give them some kind of bonus or supplement until they can get a better job...then ok. but again..only temp. It is ridiculous to make welfare and unemployment a way of life because it is too hard to get off of. If they can get an 8 dollar an hour job let them...they can make about 1300 bucks a month and then give them the other 400 to 500 a month unemployment gives them. You are saving money and helping them ! BUT AGAIN..not a long term thing...they can work TWO jobs if necessary. Goodness...my dad worked two and three and so did my husband and I to help get our families through rough times. Sometimes you have to suck it up and stop being selfish and take care of your family! If they have to go without a computer or PSP station and X BOX etc...FINE. MINE DID and they didn't die or feel alienated from society!

Give free health clinics a chance. Like they are now. Support them by giving them some help from government so they are not using emergencey for fevers and stupid things.

Make those that take government help...WORK for it. They can clean up schools and roadsides and do tons of other work for the city. There are always volunteer jobs to do that can earn their supplements.

I don't mind helping those that need help..but the word HELP is the operative word here...not DEPENDENCE but HELP! And if they are people of honor and conscience...they will stop taking from those that truly need it....they will gladly do it. I have a paralyzed son that works...I have a retarded niece that works..she can barely walk and talk but she earns her way.....if they can do it...people who are sitting on their butts can do it too!

No cutting defense though...here or abroad. It is necessary..more today than ever.

ALSO..get rid of the damn illegals and NO AMNESTY! Plenty of jobs can be created through that!

There is a magic fix. It's called ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan immediately and drastically cutting our military defense budget.

Would that not work wonderfully? The government would NEVER suspend taxes for any period of time because they know the people would unit under it. Prosperous people mean a government that isn't that important. Screw cut gov budgets ... FIRE them.

Running 50% of our government with no money? That would indeed be magic.

Most Liberals/Democrats support taxes for others to pay and more Entitlements for themselves. Look at the AFL-CIO's stand on taxing Cadillac Health Care plans. Of course they want their cake and have someone else pony up. Selfless Liberals. Right.
