Is it too late to try to have a normal relationship. She went to prison when I was only 14 leaving me to raise my younger sis all alone. she has also stolen from me. put me down and tries to hurt me by doing anything she can.I know she wont be around for very much longer.I want to forgive her but can I trust her?

okay you obviously cant trust her she steals from you and is not responsible, if you really want to have a relationship you need to tell her exactly how she has made you feel and if she makes fin of you or some BS then why have her in your life, the world is full of people that arent a holes

It is possible, but it will definitely be a challenge. My advice to you is if your mom wants to fix the relationship to is that you two can go talk to a family therapist to help put you two in the right direction.

You can try, but it is only going to work if your mom wants it to. Sit her down, have a talk, and see if it will work or not.
It's definitely worth a try, and now that she's older she may have mellowed out. You never know.
