Act of God--forget about it. To tell them opens the door to a complaint against your dog, when really the cats were trespassing (that is, the owners were letting them).
I have problem with neighbors' cats and dog using my lproperty as a toilet. There is open acreage but they deliberately go in the immediate area of the house. Believe me, I wish I had your dog! Don't be infuenced by the false sentimentality and false morality of e-fools.

This is a tough one but what you have to remember is that if your dog killed once it could do again! This time it could be a toddler or baby and it is something that though your conscious is troubled by a cats death what would it be like if a child/baby was involved?
I think the best thing to do is own up and have your dog retrained up into behaviour techniques. That way you are taking remedial action to ensure this does not happy again and have owned up to a guilt and despair trip that your neighbours need not suffer. "Not knowing" whether loss, illness, break up etc is the worst sort of suffering. You owe it to all parties to be honest

Tazer weapons are exceedingly useful, too ;) different than for something to actual injury the cat (besides the certainty that those could surely paintings, and does not be something i could be antagonistic to, lol), i could set out a stay catch, wait til the little fool is going in, and call Animal administration or take him to the preserve. They of course do no longer care that plenty approximately him in the event that they're letting this happen. have you ever pronounced on your neighbor that your dogs would desire to truly KILL their cat, no longer to show harming it? in the event that they do no longer prefer "detrimental Landon" to get injury, they might desire to maintain him interior like all universal cat proprietor that doesn't prefer injury to come again to their cats.

Tell your neighbors, now. You are the owner, therefore you must take responsibility for your dog's actions. The fact that you would rather 'cover up' the incident by disposing of the body shows what a coward you are. You don't deserve to own a dog. You are a disgusting human being.

You should tell them...especially if they have got kids....they will hate you if they find out your dog done it and you didn't bother to tell them. someone ran over my cat on my 11th birthday, I had him since I was 3. he was born on my birthday. I thought that he had just ran away. I spent the next 5 months riding round my area on my bike after and before school looking for him....what a bloody waste of time. I coul kill whoever killed my cat. Not because they killed him, but they were too chickend to even tell me! b**t**ds!
Just be honest,
good luck x

Yes you should. How would you like it if your dog just disappeared one day and never came back and you didn't know what happen to it. You need to inform them and you shouldn't have got rid of the body it was their right to have it back so they could bury or cremate it.

Tell them. Why do you need to ask?
And get rid of the dog. Suggest you feed the bastard to a big cat....
Thanks downthumbers! You must be the Shi'Tzu experts.
I had the cheek to say to that dogs shouldn't eat their own ****.
Even pigs won't do that. But for some dog "lovers" it's acceptable.
I blame the parents really....

Tell them.
If that was my cat I would want to be told. I would hate not knowing what has happened to my pet.
What if your dog went missing? Surely you would want to know what happened?

you need to tell then and this is why. this is considered a crime , and you can get arrested and yuor dog can get put down . if you tell them the truth , they most likely willl have more respect for you than if yuo lied, and hopefully wont call the cops.
