What am I doing wrong when typing on my computer?

Often I am typing something on my computer, I suddenly find that the words I am typing have jumped up a few lines. It happens in Word and it happens in my Outlook email. Sometimes I accidently Send my emails too soon, too. It always happens after I type the letter T, so it must be some command that I am hitting by accident. What could I be doing??

Update:

My keyboard is fine, but thanks for the suggestion. I should have mentioned that I am using a laptop with a touchpad. FWIW, it's an HP.

I would have guessed it was a laptop with a touchpad. I suspect that some laptops have such sensitive touchpads that they actually detect a thumb or finger moving over them even if they don't make contact.

In your case, you may be closer when you type a T than otherwise. Check the laptop and its documentation and see if there's a way to turn the touchpad off or decrease its sensitivity.

    Hope that helps.
