Is it just me or do the songs What I've Done and New Divide by the band linkin park sound really similar?

yes, and it bugs me because I know how awesome they can be.

The beginning is not too alike, but after the first few seconds it has the same singing tune and even the 'slow-then fast-slow- super hard' thing was done in both.

However, I do think the New Divide video was good, except for the parts with whats-her-name...though not their usual style.

New Divide is similar. The lyrics don't flow well together in this song. It's like they just made them up as they were recording the music.

i will constantly think of of Hybrid thought and Meteora as Linkin Park. the hot CD is easily tremendously good, as long as i do no longer think of of it as Linkin Park. If I do, I grow to be an obsessive fangirl and initiate wishing they might flow back to their previous song.

well that's because new divide was meant to be similar since it was for transformers.

It is for transformers so it was kinda a sequel.
