How much does wisdom teeth extraction cost?

I went to a consultation, and my estimate was $2,7XX.xx without insurance, and $999.xx with insurance. Am I getting ripped off?

ps. It's all 4 wisdom teeth, 1 is impacted, I am getting sedated prior to surgery, and I live in California.

    like $800 a tooth with anesthesia

    about $350 get a dental plan o with AMERIPLAN

    only$14.95 a month and then when you go to the dentist get 30% to 80% off the entire procedure.
