what are some great ps2 games?

Ha, Final Fantasy is awesome, Kingdom Hearts is a tad childish (though I liked Chain of Memories which was originally just on GB SD, though they also have it on PS2 now).

If your going to play FF, start with IX (FF9, PS1), if that doesn't get you hooked then I don't know what else will, then do VII (7, PS1), then try X (10, PS2), then go to ether XII (PS2) or Tactics (original, PS1).

FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus (Vincent From FFVII Shooter, awesome game, awesome story, awesome graphics, if you like killzone, you can really get into this, technically the only Shooter FF game (you can shoot Gunblades and shot guns in VIII's Battle system).

FF games on PS1:

FF1, 2, Tactics, 4, 5, 6(awesome), 7(top list), 8(great), 9(top list)

FF3 was finally released in America on DS only a while back, which is a waste.

Drakengard 1 and 2 - You get a dragon (nuff said).

Star Ocean: Till the End of Time (SO 2 is out for PS1, also awesome)

Dragon Quest VIII (awesome as hell)

Other Games:

Need for Speed's Hot Pursuit 2 and Most Wanted are awesome

Tony Hawks Project 8 is one of the great ones

God of War 1 and 2 (if its seems lame, earn your way to get to play God Mode, then give your comment).

Driver: Parallel Lines - If you haven't enjoyed any other Driver, you will enjoy this one.

Narc - If you can find it, you get to bust people for drugs and then take them while listening to good music and running around will all types of guns, kind of wish I didn't trade it in)

Suikoden is an awesome Franchise similar to FF, but will it's own thing, try one of the newer ones, 3 or 4 (love them both) or 5 (haven't played yet, if you play Suikoden Tactics, make it the Second or Third one you play or until after playing FF Tactics, you have some experience under your belt.1

Final Fantasy games are about traveling around the world and defeat enemies. Each series are quite unique, mostly focusing on either: Romance, empire wars, finding a treasure or defending a certain kingdom etc. I only got FFXII, but I think most Final Fantasy games are very good. The battle systems are different in each FF game. Either a strategy take-turns battle (like FFX) or a free-realm battle (like FFXII). So I definitely recommend you to buy a FF game (well...from FF 6 or 7 onwards because others are on either PS1 or DS).

Both are Role Playing games. But as i see in your list You like shooter game. There are many games for shooting. But i only kept Black. First person action shooter game. The other on my personal collections are Metal Gear Series(Third person action,First person shooter). If you like to kill zombies then Resident evil 4 is the best. The most mind blowing hack & slash is God of war series.

Kingdom hearts games are amazing you should definetly pick those up, i dont know about final fantasy tho

They both are the best RPGs i played on the ps2 and they are all i played. I played both of them like 15 times over because they are just fun all around
