Um... do YOU believe you can fly?

Alright, seriously... opinions on this? How does anyone actually get that far in competition without breaking their neck?

Oh, and Meagan-- what do you think of THIS horse's heart and scope?

LOL.... I've seen this video like 6 times. First I saw it on a question here, then it was on the fuglyblog (I think...).......... anyways.

I still am pissed off at that guy, even if it was a joke. I want to tie a bowling ball to his back and make him jump over those jumps, so he can see what it feels like to have something bounce around on his back like a sack of potatoes!!!

    I hope he's a eunuch now! LOL!

It shouldn't be legal for stupidity like that to reproduce anyways!

It's like this stunt was actually natural selection in the process!

    Edit---

No injuries my a$s!!!! Let's experiment with the bowling ball and see if he is sore the next day!!!

I've seen this video a few times as well. All I can say is it must be some kind of freaky joke! This guy can ride way too well to have done what he does, and he hardly loses his balance and regains his stirrups far too quickly to not know what he's doing, polo rider or not.

I find it hard to believe this happened at an actual competitve show. Any judge in his right mind would have stopped this nonsense after the second jump, since the "rider" consistently flies out of the saddle over every jump he takes.

Also, even a polo rider would get the feel for jumping after the first couple jumps, not come out of the saddle like he did at every jump, getting higher and higher every time! Not once did he stay in the saddle!

I also have my suspicions the poor horse has been trained to be ridden like that. Either that or he has the biggest heart in the world! He should have refused to jump or bucked this guy off on his head.

This dumbazz should have been fined for animal abuse, and the gallant little guy he was on should have been taken away and placed with normal people!

I also think he was wearing a jock or some sort of protection. No guy can take that kind of abuse and still be standing!

I think it's all some sort of sick performance....

Apparently that guy is a polo rider, who swapped horses with a jumper and just started jumping (with no jumping training whatsoever!) and it obviously didn't go too well for him.

As for the horse, that horse is a saint and I think he needs a new job in a therapeutic riding stable, or teaching kids how to jump! The rider needs to stick to polo.

If that were my horse... well, first of all I'd never let someone ride him who didn't have any jump training, and second I'd have pulled him off right after the first fence, shot him, and sent him home.

The funny thing is, if you look at him on the flat he's not an *awful* rider. There are things that could use improvement, but he's not flapping everywhere with his legs or anything like that.

BTW, the Spanish at the end says something along the lines of "the horse was fine the next day, no injuries done"

    What an honest horse!

There have been a few riders who rode with a similar style. Some years ago there was an Aussie rider Jeff McVane who was quite tall and had a 15.2 mare Claret. When the mare jumped he would throw himself out of the saddle and his legs would come way back, only returning to the saddle as the mare landed. It was ridiculous to watch bit they won a lot.

The reason he rode the mare that way was that she was tiny, but when she jumped she had no weight on her back, if he didn''t throw his legs back his feet would take the poles off the fence.

The mare was sold in the UK and she never really jumped consistently for anyone else.

As I said the first time I saw this, this is one forgiving little horse!

I was completely thrown cos although I can't believe I am saying this, to stay on the damn horse after some of those jumps well he could obviously 'ride'. It was completely bizarre. He gains his stirrups far to quickly and jumps the jumps without stirrups better than the ones with.

At any rate I think Julie pointed out the polo swap portion of the saga the last time this was posted also and it started to come together a little from there...

Dear god the term sack of potatoes is right!

He has an awful jumping position probably from lack of jumping, it's not like the horse is even throwing him, it actually has a nice jump.

If he has only recently begun jumping then he should have been jumping much smaller courses, though ego might have been the reason he wasn't.

Suppose you have to give the eegit some credit for actually staying on, he won't be having many kids though!

I have to admit I couldn't even watch the whole thing. I don't even jump! I must say that was painful to watch. That poor horse :( I'm surprised he didn't get bucked off.

In my opinion the judges should have disqualified him after the the 2nd jump when the realized it wasn't just an accident. It would have spared the horse the strain. That rider should be shot for even thinking about getting on that horse!! I pray to God he's not the owner.

There's several things I don't understand about this video:

    1. Why didn't the horse throw him off?

    2. Why did that horse's owner let him jump that high like that?

    3. With already being a polo rider, why didn't he at least have the common sense to keep his heels down over the jumps?

This is one of those videos you show non-horsey people who think jumping is easy.

OH NOT THIS GUY AGAIN! >.<

He makes me angry. If I was a judge there I would have told him to get off and leave. That poor horses back! The fact he still jumped the jumps with that guy..doing whatever he was doing... on his back makes me want to run over and give him treats and just... jump on the guys back and bounce up and down xD
