if ghosts create cold spots then why would they show up as heat signatures on heat detecting equipment such as a FLIR camera.

When a ghost wants to appear, it will draw energy from the air, or any other thing for that matter, but it will make the air cold. Cold spots. When it does appear it will use up all that energy and give out heat. Both are, in theory, indications of activity.

Part of the answer is that the link between ghosts and cold spots has not been proven. The more important part is how useless an FLIR camera actually *is*. You see, the way an FLIR camera works, it only shows the heat on *surfaces*, not air (otherwise it would look a lot weirder) It will, of course, be very difficult to determine whether cold spots *are* linked to hauntings, because we'd need an array of static thermometers that take second-to-second readings (Maybe quicker), and I haven't heard of any of those yet.

because they can show up as either, some ghosts are hot and some are cold it depends on what the ghost is doing i guess, ghosts don't actually have a temperature they just ultor the atmosphere around them in strange ways... that's if you believe in them
