Yes, find the IP address by following these steps

then enter that address on the reverse ip lookup to find the country of origin

The absolutely free reverse email lookup sites generally provide false information, they just want your email to send you spam. To get real information, money will have to be paid.

Also, stay away from shady reverse email lookup sites, most likely you won't get any information after you make the payment. Not to mention you won't get a report and you won't get an answer if you try to call for a refund. Stick with a reputable reverse phone lookup site like http://www.emailtracer.org/ that has been around since 1997.

There is actually no certain way to tell. Yahoo has addresses in MANY countries throughout the world, but you can obtain an email address from any of those countries from...IE: United States. ...This is Yahoo I am talking about. If you are talking about another email provider you will have to call them and ask..

You can look up the host that was used to send the email.

Display full headers. In Yahoo Classic look below the message and to the right for a link Full Headers. In new Yahoo, from your Inbox right click on the message. In Hotmail right click and select View source.

Look up IP numbers in the Regional Information Registry (RIR).

There are five of these in the world:

    U.S. and Canada
