I want to make a musical mobile for my grand nephew to put in a crib I have for him. Where would I get the?

materials to make a musical mobile for the baby? I want the mobile to move and to play a lullaby. He is 3 1/2 weeks old and seems to love the color red, and his parents like to dress him in blue outfits, so I was going to buy one with trucks and things on it, but couldn't find one I liked that was also musical that didn't cost an arm and a leg. So I thought "I'll make one", but have no clue where to get a musical one that I can decorate myself. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you!

Check with "The Music Box Company" I think they are out of San Frncisco, CA.

If you have a local craft store they can order the music box with the hook on it for the mobile...or...you can check with a local ceramics (where you would go to paint and fire them and give lessons) shops... or you can check with a big craft store such as Micheal's as they might carry this. You can pick up remnants from a local fabric store that would match the theme of your mobile and stuff little trucks. Sometimes you can find tiny printed quilt panels with trucks..or just use bright colours and cut out the shape of a vehicle and stuff it. You can use colouring books from the dollar store for patterns and be sure to attach the trucks on an angle, so baby sees the shape, not everyone else....hang them above you and pin them till you get the right angle, so it will be appealing to baby. Oh yes...one more thing..if you can make the shapes removable, that would be great for washing dust off.
