What is the best version of Mortal Kombat?

My boyfriend and I are exchanging gifts for Christmas, and he loooves Mortal Kombat. I am wondering, what is the best version of it for PS2?

    definite its a physically powerful recreation besides you may set it on ordinary or complicated and you need to get it for ps3 becus in case you play on xbox stay you already pay microsoft yet you pays greater with mortal kombat so ps3 is stable because of the fact the internet is unfastened

    I liked Deception and Deadly Alliance. Shaolin Monks was Ok too, but I wouldn't recommend it. I haven't played Armageddon, but I've read that it's a terrible game. If you want some reviews on any game, look it up on GameInformer.com
