when are people going to wake up and see the world for what it really is?

It's going to be a long time until people do that. Everyone is self absorbed, to different degrees. A lot of people see the world for what it is but other people won't listen because they like being selfish, they don't want to give up what they have.

The world in my eyes;

full of greedy oportunistic people that will do anything to get one over their neighbour. Too many people think life is about money money money or power power power. Anyway, I believe in an afterlife which I hope will be better but until then I just have to put up with Earth for a little longer.

Right on....in my experience the ones in denial about the state of society usually tend to be atheistic types, as those of us who believe there are better dimensions that are possible to reach after death arnt so affected because we believe in something better out there, whereas the atheistic types have to be ignorant to the ways of the world because to them, this world is all we have so they must force themselves to be closed minded and overly optimistic about this rock we're on, otherwise they would be in danger of becoming self destructive nihilists

Very funny. Most people only see what they want to see, and leave the rest alone.
