Can you reinstall Microsoft Office 2007 from Program files alone?

I recently upgraded to Windows 7, and I was unable to keep all my programs. I have all of my old windows files in Windows.old, and I need to reinstall Microsoft Office 2007. I can't find the disk, hence why I ask if I can do it form program files.

No. You need the original Office 2007 DVD and product key to reinstall. If you attempt to copy the Office 2007 files from the Program Files folder in windows.old to the corresponding Windows 7 folder, you will get an "operating system is not configured to run this application" error when you try to start an Office 2007 application.

Do NOT go to this website ( www.msoofi.com ). It only links to an illegal version of office. And on top of that, the guy is posting that link so that he can get ad clicks on his site. I don't even think he has it, he's just trying to TRICK you.

If you still have your product key and remaining installations you should be able to download Office. If you do not have your product key anymore you can get a replacement one here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?SCID=kb;...
