Democrats claim that today's elections are "Not a Referendum on Obama". Would they say that if they win?
http://www.usnews.com/articles/news/politics/2009/...
It's funny, since it's become obvious that the Democrats are going to lose big today, the liberals in this country have tried to play it off as no big deal and not being a referendum of the Obama administration. But would they make the same remarks if Democrats won big today?

only the media have cited your scenario, few dems will place much import on a race in NY, or a governor in NJ or virginia. No matter who wins or loses, most of america will not care, (the affected states notwithstanding).

No matter how the Democrats spin these elections you can bet they do matter and now its suspected these elections are why Harry Reid said today Obama's health care bill probably won't be passed until next year. If the Democrats lose in these 3 elections it will be a warning to Blue Dogs that their political futures could be in the balance.

She in basic terms won via 4%, so i would not evaluate this some sort of referendum, extremely in a state like great apple. i would be staring on the Nevada election in September lots greater heavily. No President has won the election at the same time as dropping Nevada on account that Carter.

I think you already know the answer to that.
They will say it proves Americans support Obama and the policies of the Left. It is time to push through all of their Socialist agenda, including Obama Care, Tax and Crash, no more guns, a New Constitutional Convention, No more Bill of Rights, Eliminate political speech that objects to their plans, Restrict religion, Subsidize the corrupt, punish the productive, kill babies, let old people die, flood the USA with illegals who vote Democrat......

No they wouldn't say it if they won. Also have you noticed all the news stories already stating that republican victories bring challenge to the GOP and that the GOP is on a collision course with disaster if they win today etc... If the dems win or were expected to win the media stories would all be about the mandate and how the people have spoken etc- total hypocrisy.

If they win big today, the Ministry of Truth will begin churning out news reports on how the are on the right side of history.
Anyone doubting they could win will be buried under a ton of fresh press stating they knew it all along. Only lowly bloggers will retain the proof a lie, so noone will care.

It is hard to know. But, it is common that the party that wins the WH loses ground in the mid term elections. Look back at history.
