If it is ok to leave rights up to vote, shouldn't we?

leave some of the moral laws such as drug laws up to vote as well?

Update:

Bob, when you understand what just happened, you will realize they weren't as brainwashed as you had hoped.

When the courts are asked to define what is morals, it's because those asking for it don't know what morals are.

It's like when they ask the courts to define marriage. It's due to not knowing what defines marriage. Therefore the courts should butt out.

It's akin to giving a present where the recipient needs the giver to explain what it is and how it works. Basically all the giver needs to know is that he (she) blew it.

The term "moral" is too subjective. That's why the Framers wrote a Constitution that maximized individual liberty.

Our Constitution guarantees certain rights. Anything beyond that should be left up to a popular vote by the people themselves.

We aren't a direct democracy for a reason. You end up with the really bad laws.

I don't believe that the majority should be able to vote away the rights of the minority. Making drugs legal doesn't take away rights from any group of people. Drugs like pot should be legal everywhere.
