Yes, its justified to take a child from his/her home if the child is being neglected or abused. Just because someone has the biological ability to have a child does NOT mean they should, or that they should be allowed to raise that child.

Legally, you do not own your children. All children are a ward of the state as well as any handicap people that are unable to function in society. Basically anyone that is unable to take care of themselves. No one in america can own another human being. So until the person is an adult, they are under the protection of the United States of America.

Think about it. Why do you think people can give their children over to the state for adoption. Because there is no legal obligation for you to take care of your child because the child belongs to the state to begin with. If this wasn't the case, people could be sued for not taking care of their children by anyone.

The state allows you to be a custodian to your children as long as you take care of them. If at any time the state deems that you are neglecting your children, they can and do assume their rightful status as the ward of that child. In return, the state can sue YOU for not taking care of their property.

Depends on who's setting the rules and what you would consider abuse.

Spanking/punishing your kid for being bad is not abuse at all.

    But beating them bloody is.

Sounds like you're trying to think of ways to remove a child from its mother's arms... Quit looking for excuses and think about what's right, not what you'd like.
