The two you mention are good. Stay away from worthyofpublishing.com and fictionpress.com. Both those sites are just crawling with morons who will criticize your work and then steal it for themselves. The idiot who recommended one of these sites is probably one of these low-life thieves.

I'm 17 and a few years ago when me and my freinds were 14, 15 quite a few wrote about rape/physical abuse or stalking for creating writing pieces. These topics are 'shocking' and attention grabbing. It easily could be creative writing. At this age I think the majority of girls do know a fair amount about sexual acts/behaviourbut usually they know a lot more than they would ever act out themselves, contrary to what the media reports. She maybe be hiding in her bedroom because she is embarassed that you ever found this bit of fantasy writing. She might be feeling quite shameful that you are now aware that she knows about such things, i know i would have been! However, this could be something other than just a made up story. Give her a chance to have some breathing space after finding out you knew about the story. Talk to her gently and camly again about the story. Don't suggest that she has suffered what was told in the story as she may feel imposed upon. Just tell her that you are hear to talk about it if anything has happend or just to talk about the story in general or how she felt when she found out you knew about it. I hope this helps and that everything is okay and this is just a false alarm

Great if you want substantive feedback on your work, and you need to critique others before you can post. If you're looking for more of a portfolio site, there's writing.com or authornation.com.

Been going to Just a Little Fiction for awhile. It's new but awesome. Concentrates mainly on improving your writing through short stories (really short).
