Cons: loud kids, could turn into a potential hang-out for gang-bangers after sunset depending on what your city is like
Pros (really just applies to the daylight hours): nice place to walk the dog in the mornings, adds more of a community vibe by bringing the neighbors together, could be a good place for kids to play if you have any, and if you ever want to have a BBQ and need the extra space you've always got easy access to it
To Arlanymor: Every park I've ever been to has allowed dogs. You just have to keep them on a leash and pick up after them. That's not that hard.
