seventeen year old with tuberous breasts?
I'm only 17 and I have seen a breast surgeon for my tuberous breasts and the only way to fix the deformity for them is surgery. At 17 are your breasts still growing? And in your opinion, are implants a good idea for a 17 year old?

Tuberous breasts are a specific issue and no amount of growth will help you with these. I had my implants at 19 and I have never had any problems so far - most women are fully grown at 16 or so and it is only weight gain or pregnancy that affects breast size from then onwards. I am giving you the standard advice I give to everyone below - but if you look on the website below you can search in the photos for specific treatment of tuberous breasts as not every surgeon is good enough to do it. Maybe start looking now and then you can do it at 18 with or without parental consent.
I have had breast implants done in the UK where we can have silicone which is much better than saline for a natural feel. It is the best thing I have ever done but you MUST, MUST, MUST choose your surgeon with care and ignore the price. Local/cheap is not necessarily better. Results vary massively. Do your research very carefully - see at least 3 different surgeons minimum and ask for many/several photos that they personally have done - not just some book laying around the office with a few good results. Trust your gut instinct. Learn about the 4 different incision types - around the areola is good if having a lift/with saline or even TUBA then no scars at all although this probably won't be an option for you. Consider under/over the muscle. I have mine over as I had a reasonable amount of skin and natural breast tissue - under the muscle looks more natural is you have very little breast tissue but healing is longer. You also want to consider the projection of the implant as well as the size and your doctor can advise.
Go to www.implantinfo.com as it is the best resource I have ever seen. Read Nicole's story before you look through the thousands of photos as she really did her homework about this and weighed every option carefully. Also - be warned, at the last minute you will probably consider going a size bigger as I did too. Try to resist this urge, now I am a DD instead of a D and I wish I wasn't as I am very top-heavy and a lot of dresses don't fit too well and bras are harder to find. Last thing - go on a diet and lose any extra weight you want to now - dieting and implants are not good together!! Trust me. I wish I had taken/been told this advice. Good luck!!

Yes your breasts could continue to grow.
However a Breast Augmentation could be great for your self esteem.
And I know a woman who was able to claim her boob job through her medical plan because it was making her depressed.
Talk to your doctor about your options.
Maybe there is a forum where you can discuss your options with other women who have had/have tuberous breasts.

Well. . . It's 4 years, which isn't TOO bad. . . I've seen couples 14 years apart and they are still happily married. The only thing is, on your next birthday, she's still a minor and you would be an adult, and thats against the law. Only if someone reports you though. So I don't know really. I don't think the age would be a problem. . .

From what i have read it is not recommended for anyone under the age of 21 to have implants.
The reasons are that yes your body may still be growing and therefore could cause complications further on or could affect the way the implants look in the future.
