Secret Tree of The Tinver Forest

Samoth is his name, the magnificent magician. The one who says he dreams about a forest every night. He says he dreams about putting on a magic show for all the forest creatures. And every day a new fascinating story comes out of the mouth of Samoth. Although everyone waits at the fountain for Samoth to put on his daily magic show and tell to all the people of Tinver Mountain yet another one of his dreams, people never believe they mean anything. But of course Samoth does. He believes that one day he will be in a forest and swarms of creatures from throughout the trees will gather around him waiting for him to put on a magic show. But not just anywhere in the forest, in his dreams he is standing next to the biggest and most magical tree in the whole world. It’s called the Great Tyton Tree. And Samoth knows exactly where to find it. It’s 12:07 in the morning and Samoth putting on a magic show in front of hundreds of creatures in his dream again. But suddenly Samoth gets a knock on the door. He is startled by the loud pounding over and over again. So he gets out of bed and opens the door very slowly and only opens it small enough for him to see out. But he sees a little girl; she looked about 7 or 8 years old. Her face was hidden and she is wearing a cloak. She has a necklace of a tree. Exactly like the tree in Samoth’s dreams. The girls cloak was all black but the necklace stood out with a bright silver glow. The girl takes out a small black box and sets it on his doorstep. Then she walked away into the darkness. Samoth picked up the box and took it inside. He locked the door, shut all the window curtains and set the box on the table in his living room. He stared at the box for a while and then picked up the box and set it on his lap. There was a note attached to the box. It reads: You must take this as a gift. For all your dreams lie in this box. Samoth quickly turned the lock and the top of the box popped open. There was a leather case inside, a picture of the tree in his dreams, and a green ring. He opened the leather case to find an old map of the forest where the Great Tyton tree is located. There is a picture of a ring and a door right on the Great Tyton tree. Samoth understands completely what is going on. He quickly puts on the ring and packs a sack of food, clothes, and the map of the Tinver Forest. Then he heads out for the forest. He knows it might be dangerous to travels through the forest at night but he simply can’t wait for sunrise. After hours and hours of walking with scrapes and bruises all along his legs he finally gets to the Great Tyton Tree. It’s sunrise by now and Samoth takes out the map of the tree and sees a picture of a dwarf pointing the green shiny ring at the tree. So Samoth tries it. And it works, the tree slowly begins to show an outline of a huge door on its enormous tree trunk. He walks up to the tree and opens the door. He steps inside and can’t believe his eyes. It’s just like a huge fantasy land. A village, mountains, rivers and it’s snowing. Everywhere he looks he sees snow. But then, out of the fog comes a huge animal 30 times the size of Samoth running after him. Samoth runs into a cave and opens his map. He sees a picture of an elf holding the green ring at a beast that looks exactly like the one running after him. Samoth’s heart is racing. But he finally gets the energy to go out of the cave and try to point the ring at the beast. The beast suddenly shrinks down to a little kitten and comes to Samoth’s feet and lies down. Samoth realized that when he was younger he had a kitten just like this one. He picked up the kitten and it licked his face. He knew that the cat wasn’t a stranger because Samoth had a strange feeling that the cat was his long lost kitten and in this fantasy land everything Samoth ever wanted was just a ring point away.

I really liked the beginning of this story, because it grabbed my attention. But I lost interest along the lines of: "He...simply can’t wait for sunrise," because it makes the character seem young and childish.

I also think you repeat some words too much - try to refer to the ring as the "shining circle of an object" or something along the lines of that. You should also write "thirty" as a word instead of the number "30." So as long as you fix words that appear frequently in your story, I believe you'll be fine!

p.s. Lovely story though - very imaginative!

you understand what you have got to make writing well. however you're no longer utilizing it in which it demands for use. for instance, omission isn't high-quality for the primary sentence. use it later. i might mix the intro with chap. one million. shorten up the primary paragraph of the first bankruptcy. it will get redundant. fine description within the 2d para. of the first chapt. however shorten it up and use extra description for the duration of your writing. it is too visible you had been considering "oh yeah my 4th grade instructor advised me to make use of description for a well tale" total sadly, no person will submit it. its a type of experiences publishers learn always and by no means cared approximately. they dont like teenage ladies saturated with feelings and "boy issues", chiefly private experiences, they simply dont care. a larger that means, symbolism, and feel of realtion is wanted.
