the first Harry Potter book and the movie???
something that if, you only saw the movie, you wouldn't know because you didn't read the book or vice versa
But it still has to be big enough that the person would have remembered it from the book if they read it or would have remembered from the movie if they watched it. Basically trying to tell if the person actually read the book instead of watching the movie or vice versa....

Peeves the poltergeist features in all seven books but is never referred to in the films. He was originally cast (the comedian Rik Mayall) but all his scenes were eventually cut and he wasn't recast for the next film.

None that I can recall. Just minor differences that really didn't effect the plot in any way :)
