how theater actors memorize long scripts?

I have problems with memorization and public fright and I would take a course to help me solve these problems

My friend's in Drama, and she tells us that she memorises her scripts in 3 parts. First, she reads through it thoroughly and disects her role in the play, making sure she understands the mindset of that character. Next, she re-reads and re-reads her script, until the words seem to come naturally to her. Then, she practices reciting her lines in front of a mirror (also to see if her facial expression is appropriate for the line). And when it's finally show-time, we're all so impressed with her acting! Haha.

The main idea is to practice and practice until the words just flow out of you. For stage fright, don't think about the audience- just focus on your character and role onstage. They're there to support you, and they're all rooting for the play to be a success.

    All the best!

What I have learned to do; Is break it down into small parts; Repeat that part to yourself over and over again. Than when you have that part down; Repeat that part along with a new part. Until you have the whole page down; Also, Try thinking of instances where they script has ever been like your life. This will help to add feeling and also helps to memorize :)

    Hope I can help.

You have two problems on your to handle your first one you must read consistently over and over and over and for the other try preforming in front of a small stage until it gets bigger and bigger
