The key is being social and friendly. If you expose yourself to a lot of people and you make yourself enjoyable to be with, they'll like you.

Just having fun if your gloomy then you defiantly wont be popular like if there is a dance or something just have fun and dance not sit around and do nothing doing that will only make you invisible (also laughing and joking around nicely works too)
