How to install external usb HDD hard drive to xp?(its format is HDD)?
my xp show usb drive but cant go to it and when i click it want to format it.my external usb hard drive is HDD but XP can not support it.how we can solve because I have data on USB external hard.

Hi,
Its looks like your External HDD is not reading the DATA. Also U can try by this way. Remove the external HDD from your machine and try to connect into another machine. Also Don't open from My computer". You can check out the USB HDD from the following ways.
1) Right Click on "My Computer"-->Manage-->Disk Management
And check out the HDD is recognizing there. If it is then you can open from there itself.

your drive is not getting enough power from the usb socket it needs to be connected to two sockets each socket is limited to 500ma if your drive needs 750ma it will not start, the cable should have two connectors on it which must be plugged into the computer first and then into the drive

FAT32 indubitably. mac can no longer study NTFS (even powerPc) with out help. and don't even think of of formatting the strain from the mac the two (after u'll choose some thing like Macdrive to study it below abode windows) i would not partion the strain until is over 120GB delight in the toy ..........
