Is it possible to live without a loving pet ?
Sometimes i think I cant live without pets or maybe I suffer a kind of illness?
I have a good life (work and family) but its been quite difficult for me to get used to the idea of not having pets around me.I always love being around them, taking care of them since childhood .Maybe I made a life mistake as I didnt chose a career were animals are involved. Its been 2 years since my cat died and I still cant cope with the idea of living without pets .... actually the idea makes me very sad....wonder if anyone feels like these any advice ?

I'm sure it's possible to live without loving a pet-- lots of people do. Even someone who loves animals can live without a pet.
However, if it really makes you unhappy, then it might be best for you to get another pet. Just be sure that you're not doing it to replace your cat (which it doesn't sound like you would, anyway). I'm sorry about your cat, and I know exactly how you feel. It was two years after my cat died that I got a new one. It wasn't really a conscious decision-- I didn't just wake up one day and think, "I need to get another cat." A little kitten just happened to come along, and I've loved him ever since then, but I also had rats and a bird at the time. I've always had pets, and I know I always will because otherwise there would be a void in my life. I also have a job and a husband, but taking care of my pets is a part of my life that I would never voluntarily give up.
You being sad about not having a pet is pretty normal. Pets do wonders for a person's health, as it's emotionally rewarding to nurture an animal and know that they'll reciprocate your love 100%.
Anyway, I hope this helps.

I know I could never be without my furry family. If you want a pet and can support and care for a pet then get one. There is nothing better than going to a shelter and knowing you are giving someone a forever loving and caring home. Especially cats. They get a bad rep and need all the help they can get.

I think if you feel an attraction to animals that is this intense you should act: get yourself a pet at home and if in your flat/house pets aren't allowed, then you can still do something about it: go take a walk in the forest, you'll see numerous animals, go horse riding, where there is direct contact to animals.
Personally I was so unused to be far away from animals that I got really sad, that was at school, my grades got worse, as soon as I had contact to animals my mood went up and since then I realized we all have to have pets or nature by us in order to stay sane.

If it is a illness, I have it big time. If you love your career than You didn't make a mistake. You have that feeling because you grown up with animals around. I get it a lot when I not around my animals. If you love have a pet around, I say have a pet around.
