Authors are made – not born at the first sign of christening and as long as you can write and pull off a manuscript at an early age of what, 6, you can be a published author.

Self-publishing is one venue for authors who wanted to test how their book will fare in the market.

To get into a contract, yes, you must have someone legal to assist you with it. Self-publishing will entail you to make a deposit before going through production and any financial transaction done should be legitimate.

How can you NOT publish? I have known of authors who started as early as 6 to 10- years old.

With parent’s consent, supervision and resources, these children are already raking exposure in the publishing industry as young as they are now.

Age is never a hindrance to getting a book published. Publishing a book, however, is never easy and writing is just part of the big picture. Which is why you need to make sure that your book is polished to perfection. After all, your aim is to publish a book that sells.

You will need to edit it, rewrite it and improve it. You want to make sure that your work is truly book-worthy. This way, you won't have too much a problem getting your book published.

Again, remember that no matter how young you are, you have the power to make things happen. Good luck!

It is possible. I'm a 15 year old who has a self-published cookbook that is a national title at Chapters (Canadian equivalent of Barnes and Nobles).

You have a couple of options when it comes to publishing your book:

-Published by a publisher. This is the traditional option. In order to get published by a publisher, you will need to be either a) an exceptionally good writer (very rare) or b) someone who is known by the public or who is writing about a ''hot'' topic. However, if you do manage to get your book published, you will have considerably less work to do compared to self-publishing (although you will have to do a lot of promotion).

-Self-published. The equivalent of going into business, but you wouldn't have to worry about getting accepted by a publisher. However, it takes an investment, lots of marketing, a critical eye, and professional help (for the editing, graphics, etc.) to do this.

-POD (print on demand). This would allow you to have your book printed out one copy at the time and bought mainly by friends and family and strangers over the internet.

Minors are not able to input into contracts, adding publishing contracts, but when an agent or writer is interested ample, s/he'll search the signature of your guardian or mum or dad. However, such a lot younger humans who write good have no longer but honed their craft or amassed ample lifestyles enjoy to put in writing a unique that competes available on the market. There are a few exceptions, however only a few (and such a lot of them loaded with suspicious parental connections and/or involvement, like "Eragon"). Many flip to self-publishing, no longer figuring out that’s practically on no account a legitimate choice for fiction. That doesn't suggest you will have to no longer attempt to marketplace your first novel, however that you simply will have to be ready to take delivery of failure if that is what occurs. By the time you've got attempted each and every feasible road, you'll be able to be good into your moment novel, for you to be bigger written and extra mature, however no longer up to the 3rd...

No. If you were and are educated in an American school no chance. UNLESS you are really REALLY great. Try entering it contests first. Goggle writing contests, some are free. The chance of a 13 yr old being published is like when pigs fly.

it is very much possible. The girl that wrote The Outsiders was only 16 or 17 when she published it. Be confident and don't let one or two rejections squash your hope. Get an editor and start the process.

it is but highly unlikely. Just share your work with your friends and get more experience, unless you have some fatal disease (god forbid) then you have plenty of time to publish later!

    Possible, not probable.

Start by getting opinions from people who aren't your friends.
