Judaism was founded as a response to the polytheistic (belief in many Gods) religious practice of that time in Mesopotamia.

Abraham did not buy into worshiping more than one God. So in the City of UR, Mesopotamia (current day Iraq), Abraham was inspired to reject the notion of worshiping more than one God, and fled the city of Ur to the desert to avoid persecution and to practice his belief in one and only one all powerful God.

Judaism is the oldest monotheistic (belief in a single God) religion in the world.

there is no date. There was no counting of time, then, and there is no archaeological material that can be tied to the events....you know, smashed idols. Hmmmm. lots of those, in lots of periods. Sheep. nomadic groups of around, maybe 50 people, max. Yeah. Difficult to say.
